In 1971, Sergey Nikolaevich graduated from Voronezh Polytechnic Institute. He studied classical guitar by Y.V. Vorontsov. He graduated from Voronezh Musical College in 1976 (the Guitar Department of the teacher L.V. Karpova). In 1986, he finished the Voronezh State Institute of Arts (the course of the Associate Professor Y.A. Mugerman).
After graduating from Voronezh Polytechnic Institute in 1971, Sergey Nikolaevich worked as an engineer at one of the Voronezh factories. In 1973-1003, he was a music teacher of the secondary school number 11. Sergey Nikolaevich worked as a teacher at Voronezh Music College since 1983 and at the Voronezh State Academy of Arts since 1987. In 1983-1995, he was the artist of the Voronezh Philharmonia.
