Shizuko Shiraki was born in 1895 in Hokkaido, Japan.
She graduated from Sapporo Girls' High School in Hokkaido.
She devoted herself to literary pursuits. Made her debut with Matsubazue-o Tsuku Onna, (Woman On Crutches) (1913) which was followed by SanjUsan-no Shi (Death At 33) (1914). After marriage she produced several short novels depicting her life as mother and wife until she died a sudden death at the Infectious Disease Research Institute at Shiba, Tokyo.
Physical Characteristics: She had her right leg amputated.
She fell in love with Seiko Uenoyama, married him and gave birth to a child.
