Shotaro Kojima studied at the Law Department of Kyoto University, which he graduated from in 1912. He studied for a certain period in Germany, France, England and USA.
After graduation, Shotaro Kojima became assistant professor at his alma mater (1918). He was promoted to professor (1924) and then became dean of Economics Department (1931). In 1950 he was awarded the title of Honorary Professor of The Kyoto University. He received degree in economics (1924).
