Steve Rajtar was born on August 16, 1951, in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. He is a son of Stefan Rajtar, a painter, and Rose Rajtar (maiden name Golembiewski), a homemaker.
Steven Rajtar was very active in Boy Scouts as a young boy. He even had plans to be an adult leader of one of the organizations. The time he spent in various scouting training courses working on the guides and thesis on historical hiking trails had an important influence on his ongoing career of an author.
He received his Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Arts degrees from the University of Central Florida in 1973. Three years later, he completed a Juris Doctor degree at the University of Florida. It was followed by a Master of Laws in 1977.
Having a diploma in law, Steve Rajtar started his career as an attorney at Gearhiser, Peters, Elliott, & Cannon, PLLC in Chattanooga, Tennessee where he served from 1977 to 1979. Then, he shifted to Matthias & Matthias in Orlando, Florida and held the post for six years. In 1985, he became an attorney in Winter Park.
Following his childhood passion of creating guides on various nature trails, he has authored a number of volumes dealing with central Florida history and the conflicts involving Indian tribes continue that process among other topics. Working at a full-time job as an in-house attorney for a property management company, and continuing to be active in several aspects of scouting, Rajtar works on his books in his spare time.
Steve Rajtar is an accomplished lawyer who has created many comprehensive guides on such topics as the history, the nature and holiday traditions of the United States. His detailed guides provide tourists, scholars and other people who are fascinated with the history of the United States with full knowledge on the subject of their interest.

2012Quotations: "I hadn’t intended to become an author. My goal was to learn as much as possible about a subject and then share the knowledge with others. I enjoy researching and trying to find out everything available in the existing body of work, then putting it together in a more usable form, looking for whatever it takes to make the work complete."
Steve Rajtar married a travel agent Gayle Prince on June 15, 1974. The family produced two children named Jason Paul and Kelly Rose.
