Tadashi Hattori was born in 1908.
Learned composition and its theory under Meiro Sugawara.
Won the second prize (1935) for the fourth musical concours. Developed the Keio Mandolin Club. Composed many musical pieces for songs and orchestra, besides such symphony music as "The Sea", "Gulliver’s travels" (for xylophone and orchestra), operetta "Funeral Carriage" and overture "The Black Current".
