Obtained his doctorate (1927) for his thesis on his research on nerves. Went to the United States where he later studied cerebrum physiology at the Pavlov Institute in Leningrad.
Career
Was appointed professor at Keio University (1946). In his spare time he writes detective fiction under the pseudonym of Takataro Kigi. Wrote many books on cerebrum physiology and other subjects.
