In 1927 he graduated from Kyoto University. In 1936 - studied further at Toho Bunka Gakuin (1928), became instructor at Third Higher School.
Career
In 1940 he was an assistant professor at Tokyo University. In 1942 - collaborated in compiling "Outline of East Asiatic History. In 1946 Abe became full professor and has published several books on history.
