Education
After graduating from Tokyo University with a degree in zoology (1908) was appointed assistant professor at Kyoto University (1911) and later proceeded to Europe for further studies (1919).
Career
Returning home (1921) resumed his post with Kyoto University as Dean of Faculty for Science. After his retirement (1943) was appointed President of the Junior College of Shiga Prefecture (1950) and late r- emeritus professor at Kyoto University.
