Tanzo Takeuchi

Background

Takeuchi Tanzo was born in 1887 in Tokyo, Japan.

Education

Takeuchi graduated from Tokyo University after specializing in mathematics. In 1926 he went abroad on a study tour.

Career

Takeuchi became professor for a while with the Fifth Higher School, the Eighth Higher School and the First Higher School. In 1922 he was appointed a professor at Tokyo University. Tanzo was conferred with a doctorate in 1916. Reaching the age limit, he retired and subsequently became an emeritus professor of Tokyo University in 1942.
