Tatsunosuke Ueda was born on February 2, 1892 in Tokyo, Japan.
Tatsunosuke Ueda graduated from Tokyo Higher Commercial School in 1914. He studied in Europe and America and received a degree of Doctor of Philosophy at Pennsylvania University. Also, Tatsunosuke received a degree in economics in 1935.
Tatsunosuke Ueda became an assistant professor of his alma mater in 1917. He specialized in the economic history of Medieval Europe. Later, he became the dean of the Economics Department of Hitotsubashi University.
Among his works are "Study of the History of Economic Theory," "Study of Functional Economics" and "Economics of St. Thomas" for which he received a letter of commendation from the Pope.
