DAVIDSON, Thomas was born on April 27, 1856 in Leswalt, near Stranraer. 2nd son of John Davidson and Anna Pringle.

Education

Studied at Edinburgh University and New College, Edinburgh.

Career

Assistanteditor of Globe Encyclopaedia, 1876-1879, and of Chambers’s Encyclopaedia, 1888-1892. Editor with West. and R. Chambers, Edinburgh. Presbyterian Chaplain at Vienna.
