He graduated from Tokyo University in 1908.
Career
After graduating he made a special study of noniron metallurgy and then returned to his alma mater as an assistant professor in 1909. Later was sent to Europe for further studies in 1916 and upon return rejoined his alma mater as the professor in 1920.
