Education
He studied the Kokinshu (walca anthology) under Gyoko and left the fruits of his learning to Sogi.
Career
He lived during the Muro achi Period was in the service of Yoshimasa and appointed Lord of Shimotsuke. Later at the request of Emperor Tsuchimika he came to Kyoto and served the Imperial Court, and was asked to revive waka poetry.
