In 1945 Vera Mikhailovna Protorchina graduated from the historical department of the Faculty of History and Philology of the Voronezh State University.
Vera Ptotorchina was a lecturer of the Department of History of the USSR at the Voronezh State Pedagogical Institute (1949-1955), senior lecturer (1955-1961), associate professor (1961-1988) of the Department of History of the USSR of the pre-Soviet period at the Voronezh State University. Vera Mikhailovna participated in the preparation of the 1st Regional Conference of Local Lore (1954).
