Vladimir Ivanovich Shkursky was an actor. During his life he played about 250 roles on the Voronezh stage. During the Great Patriotic War, Vladimir Ivanovich directed the front-line variety theater and miniatures. He also occupied the position of the chairman of the Voronezh branch of the All-Russian Theatrical Society in 1963-1973.
Education
Vladimir Ivanovich finished Realschule in Odessa in 1918 and Drama Studio in Kiev in 1923.
Career
Vladimir Ivanovich worked in the Lesya Ukrainka National Academic Theater of Russian Drama during 1921-1925. Then he worked at theaters in Kharkiv, including the troupe of N.N. Sinelnikov (1925-1929), and Kursk theaters in 1929-1933. Since 1933 Vladimir Ivanovich was an artist of the Voronezh Drama Theater.
During the Great Patriotic War he directed the front-line variety theater and miniatures. During 1963-1973 he was the chairman of the Voronezh branch of the All-Russian Theatrical Society.
Vladimir Ivanovich died on July 20, 1978 in Voronezh, Russian Federation.
