Studied at Croad’s School, Lynn. Birmingham Municipal School of Art. Royal Society of Artists, Birmingham.
On leaving school, and under influence of Pre-Raphaelites, painted The Workshop, bought by the City of Norwich for the Corporation Art Gallery. After studying in Holland and Belgium returned to Lynn, taking great interest in local reform movements. Studio in Kensington, 1904.
Has painted portraits, landscape and figure subjects, interiors and still life, and book illustrations. Now making series of drawings of Old Lynn and Fenland Towns. Drawings for Nelson’s Homeland, 1905.
