In 1882 Yasutsuna Kigoshi was sent for studies to Germany.
Career
In 1877 Yasutsuna Kigoshi distinguished himself during the Seinan-no-eki. In 1894 -1895 he was appointed chief staff officer of Third Army during Sino-Japanese War. In 1898 Yasutsuna Kigoshi was promoted to Major-General. In 1904 -1905 he became a commander of the special contingent to Korea. In 1905 - was promoted to Lt.-General. In 1907 he created Baron. In 1912 Yasutsuna Kigoshi became Minister of War of Katsura Cabinet.

In 1920 Yasutsuna Kigoshi became and member of House of Peers.
