Yuri Aleksandrovich Apalkov

Background

Yuri Aleksandrovich Apalkov was born on 14th April 1949 in Borisoglebsk town, Voronezh region, Russia.

Education

In 1979, he graduated from Faculty of History in Voronezh State University.

Career

Since 1975 Apalkov was a researcher at Borisoglebsk Historical and Art Museum. In 1984, he became the director of that museum.

Achievements

• Yuri Apalkov was the author of the teaching aid Subjects of Training Sessions on the History of the Native Land (1985, together with A. M. Dmitriev) and of the book Fortress in Hopre (1997, together with V. M. Golovanov), both were published in Borisoglebsk. His articles were published in almanac Balashovsky Krai, in scientific collection of Borisoglebsk State Pedagogical Institute and in the newspaper Borisoglebsky Vestnik.
