Yuri was born on October 28, 1912, in Voronezh, Russian Federation. In fact, according to the adopted daughter - Alena Alexandrovna Arkhangelsk, the daughter of Alexander Galich - Yuri Ivanovich was born in 1922 in Voronezh. In 1939 he graduated from the Voronezh Theatre School (A.P.Novoskoltseva course).
Career
He fought in the Great Patriotic War. He appeared on the stages of Irkutsk (1947-1949) and Bryansk (1949-1951). In 1951-1963, he worked as an artist of the Moscow Maly Theater.
