Being a student, Yuri Izrailevich received the title of Master of Sports of the USSR, became a member of the Soviet Union and the champion among the juniors, took the 2nd and 3rd places among seniors, participated in the first USSR match between the national teams of the USSR, England and Italy.
In 1956 Yuri Izrailevich entered Moscow Power Engineering Institute, from which he graduated in 1963. During his last course he took part in designing the ER-9p electric train. Being a graduate in 1966, he joined music band "Seekers", created at the Moscow Power Engineering Institute and well-known in 1960-1970. In the repertoire of the band were pop and folk songs, but the signature song was "Guys of the seventieth breadth." In 1972 music band was awarded with the Moscow Komsomol Prize. Feldman was the permanent frontman of the band and, in addition, played double-bass, guitar, and drums.
Yuri Izrailevich defended his thesis for the degree of candidate of technical sciences in 1972. Next year he moved to the All-Union Scientific Research Design and Technological Institute of Crane and Traction Electrical Equipment of the NGO Dynamo.
Yuri Izrailevich started the work with building two laboratories, then conducted tests of trams, trolley buses, scientific researches and climbed the career ladder: Senior Researcher, Head of Laboratory.
In 1979 was a turning point in the fate of Feldman. According to the decision of the executives, he was transferred to manufacture on the head of the first hardware department of the NGO "Dinamo" post. Feldman soon became the head of the crane engines manufacture (1981-1984), then deputy general director for production and marketing of the NGO Dynamo and the Dynamo works (1984-1987), chief engineer (1987-1993).
In 1993, Yuri Feldman was elected as a managing director of JSC "Joint-Stock Electrotechnical Company" Dynamo. Working there as the managing director of for six years, Feldman proven himself to be a talented leader who not only cared about the prosperity of the enterprise, but also had a clear civic position.
