Yuriy Demidov was born on the 1st of June, 1963 in Yelabuga, Tatar ASSR (nowadays Russian Federation).
In 1992 he defended his candidate's thesis “Criminal and legal struggle of bodies of internal affairs of crime in extreme conditions”, in 2002 – doctoral thesis on “Framework for combating crime in socially-budgetary sphere: Criminological and criminal law aspects”.
Between 1985-2009, he held various command positions in law enforcement bodies of internal affairs of the USSR/Russia. Since 2006, he was the Head of the Center "T" of the main Department for combating the organized crime of service of criminal policy of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, then the Head of the All-Russian Institute of advanced training of employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.
Since September 2008, he was the Head of the Center "Olympics 2014" of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. In April 2009 he was appointed the 1st Deputy Chief of Department of maintenance of public order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation.H e is the acting chief of the Department of maintenance of public order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation. He is the 1st Vice-President of Kobudo Federation of the Russian Federation.
