After receiving a through Chinese education in his native city, Zing Zung-ching came to Shanghai at age of 17 and entered banking business. Since 1906 he served as a manager of Foh Yu native bank. In 1919 Mr. Zing was appointed president of the Shanghai Native Bankers' Guild. He held the post of a vice-president of the Shanghai Commercial Federation in 1920. Then he acted as a proprietor of the electricity company in his native city. Since 1928 Zing Zung-ching resumed his office as a committee member of the Shanghai Municipal Council. Later he was promoted president of the Shanghai Native Banks' Guild.
From 1933 Mr. Zing took the position of a manager of the Bank of Communications. Later he was the president of the Land Bank of China.
