In 1967 Aleksey Radugin graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov. In 1972 he graduated from the Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov and under the supervision of M.P. Novikov defended his thesis for the degree of Candidate of Philosophy on the topic "Neo-Augustinism as a Kind of Catholic Philosophy" (Specialty - "Scientific Atheism, History of Religion and atheism"). In 1987 he defended his thesis for the degree of Doctor of Philosophy on the topic "Modern Catholic irrationalism."
Aleksey Radugin was a professor and head (until 2014) of the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and History of the Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. Since 2016 is a professor of the Department of Philosophy, Sociology and History of the Institute of Architecture and Urban Planning of the Central Black Earth State Engineering University. Aleksey Radugin ia an editor-in-chief of the Scientific Herald of the Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering (series of Social and Humanitarian Sciences).
