Nikolay Vladimirovich graduated from the Leningrad Civil Engineering Institute (now Saint-Petersburg State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering) (1927).
Nikolay Vladimirovich was an architect of the railway service of the Southeastern Railway (1927-1937), head of the department of architecture (1930-1973), professor of the department of architecture of industrial, civil and agricultural buildings (1973-1980) of the Voronezh State University of Architecture and Civil Engineering. At the same time, Nikolay Vladimirovich was the chief architect of Voronezh (1943-1951), the head of the department of rural planning of the Voronezh State Agricultural University (1951-1959). He participated in the creation of the master plan of Voronezh (1946). Moreover, Nikolay Vladimirovich led the post-war reconstruction of the city.
The author of more than 70 projects of facilities of different purposes, a significant part of which has been implemented. Nikolay Vladimirovich has published more than 70 works on the problems of the development of Voronezh, on the problems of architectural and construction education, including books: Oblik budushchego Voronezha (Voronezh, 1953), Voronezh (Moscow, 1959).
