In 1949 Alexander Ivanovich went to the first grade in Noginsk. Sasha graduated from primary school with excellent results, in grades 4-6 he studied at Moscow School No. 100, then again in Noginsk, and in 1959 completed secondary education in Moscow. Six months later, First Lieutenant Alexander Ivanovich was appointed as an instructor and then a senior instructor of the Komsomol division of the Political Department of the Moscow Air Defense District.
In 1969 he was appointed to the post of chief of the Komsomol work department in the political department of the army. In 1970, Capt. Myagkov was appointed senior instructor of the Komsomol department of the Soviet Army and the Navy Main Political Directorate. In June 1974, he was appointed head of the political department of the 39th SAM (anti-aircraft missile brigade) with headquarters in Olenegorsk, Murmansk Oblast. The Far North was chosen by himself.
