Alexander Nikolaevich was a researcher at the Central Research Laboratory of the Voronezh State Medical Institute (1970-1980). Head of the Department of Medical Biology and Genetics (since 1980), Vice-principal of the Voronezh State Medical Institute (now Voronezh State Medical Academy). The initiator of the introduction of the ecology course at the department of medical biology and genetics of medical universities. Winner of 3 patents for inventions, including a method for determining the biological activity of the chalons and anti-antigones. Author of more than 200 studies on the problems of biologically active substances in the regeneration of organs and tissues, chronobiology and chronomedicine, including: "Case study on human ecology" (Voronezh, 1997), "Current approaches to the diagnosis and treatment of children’s cystic fibrosis.
