Andrey Roslyakov was born on October 9, 1927.
In 1954 Andrey Roslyakov graduated from the Khabarovsk State Medical Institute (now Far Eastern State Medical University) and the Leningrad Institute of P.F. Lesgaft.
After graduating from the medical institute, he was trained in clinical residency at the Department of Faculty Surgery of HGMI (1954 -1957), then as an assistant (1957- 1964), associate professor (1964- 1972) of the same department, dean of the pediatric faculty of the Khabarovsk State Medical Institute. From 1972 to 1994 he was rector of the HGMI.
From 1994 to the present he is a professor-consultant at the Far Eastern State Medical University.
The main scientific activities of Roslyakov are: pathology of the digestive system, arterial hypertension and suppurative diseases of the lungs and pleura.
At the initiative of Roslyakov, and at the initiative of the department headed by him, a cardiological center, pulmonary center, vascular center was opened in the 1st regional clinical hospital (the department’s base). The operation of coronary artery bypass grafting and coronary artery disease was mastered.
Andrey Roslyakov is the author of more than 120 scientific works, including 3 monographs.
In 1986 Andrey Roslyakov was elected a corresponding member of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR (RAMS), doctor of medical sciences, professor. For many years he was a member of the board of the All-Union and All-Russian Society of Surgeons, deputy chairman of the Khabarovsk Society of Surgeons, chairman of the "Knowledge" Society of the RSFSR is listed in the book of Honor of this society.
