He graduated from Tokyo University (1910).
Career
He taught briefly at Military Staff College, 1st Higher School and became professor at Tokyo University of Commerce. Proceeded to France for further studies (1936) and returning home was appointed instructor at Tokyo Prefectural College. Among his works are The Ideas and Art of Romain Rolland and (a coliection of French poems translated by him into Japanese).
