In 1907 Kamimura Kiyonobu graduated from Tokyo University.
After graduation Kiyonobu Kamimura was in turn professor at 7th Higher School, 1st Higher School and Urawa Higher School to eventually become professor at Nihon University. He was conferred a doctorate, for his thesis titled "German Literature and the Orient" which makes an attempt to show the relation between German literature and Buddhism and the effect of Oriental thought on German literature.
