In "Sanctification as Freedom," the author attempts to draw out the significance of the apostle's affirmation that the law of the Spirit has freed the believer from the law of sin and of death. Cranfield does not lose sight of the relevance of theology, and of New Testament studies in particular, to the life of the Church and of the Christian individual today.
