Dmitrii Skobeltsyn, USSR Physicist, academician.


Skobeltsyn, Dmitrii was born on November 24, 1892 in Petersburg.


Graduated from Petrograd University, 1915.


Worked at the Polytechnical Institute, 1916-1937, and the Physico-Technical Institute, 1925-1929 and 1931-1939 in Leningrad. From 1937, at the Physical Institute of the Academy of Sciences. Worked at the M. Skladovski-Curie Laboratory, Paris, 1929-1931.

Professor at Moscow University, 1940, and Rector of the same university until 1960. Academician, 1946.


Religion obstructs scientific research and technological progress.


Marxism–Leninism as the only truth could not, by its very nature, become outdated.
