Member of the Great Patriotic War from 1941. Fulfilling the tasks of the underground Party District Committee and the leadership of the partisan detachment. K.E. Voroshilov, the underground workers obtained information about the enemy garrison in the village of Obol (Shumilinsky district), committed 21 sabotage. Since September 1943, Zen’kova has fought in the partisan brigade named after V.I. Lenin on the territory of the Vitebsk region.
By the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR’s Decree, July 1, 1958, Efrosinya Savelievna Zenkova was awarded Hero of the Soviet Union title “for exemplary fulfillment of combat missions of the command at the front in the struggle against the German invaders and courage and heroism shown at that time” and received the Gold Star (No. 11112) and Order of Lenin.
After the war, until 1967, she worked in the Vitebsk city military enlistment office.
She lived in the city of Vitebsk (Belarus).
She died on April 19, 1984. She was buried at Mazurin cemetery in Vitebsk.
