Fedor Fedorovich graduated from the Literary Institute of the Smolensk Writers Union (1937).
Since 1928 in Moscow, where Fedor Fedorovich worked as a journalist, lecturer. He was a senior researcher of the Institute of Literature named after A.M. Gorky, Academy of Sciences of the USSR (1937-1939).
As a scientist published since 1935 ("The literary Gazette", "The Evening Moscow" and other publications). Associate Professor (from the beginning of 1945), Superior (July 1946 - August 1948) of the Department of General and Russian Literature of the Voronezh State University. Later Fedor Fedorovich worked in Moscow and other cities.
In the mid-1960s, he lived in Voronezh. Author of a number of studies, mainly the works of the early Mikhail Yuryevich Lermontov. Maysky's article "Youth of Lermontov" was published in "the Proceedings of the Voronezh State University" (1947, vol. 14, issue 2).
