Gregory Ilyich Lunc studied at the regional drama school in 1923 and graduated from the Leningrad College of Performing Arts (now Russian State Institute of Performing Arts) in 1930.
Since 1922, Gregory Ilyich worked at the Voronezh Drama Theatre. He was a directed at the 2nd Belarusian Drama Theater (1930-1932, Minsk), artistic director of the regional theater for working youth (1932-1934, Gorky).
Later he worked as a director in various cities of the country. He also worked as an artistic director at the District House of Culture (1949-1952), as a teacher at the regional cultural enlightenment school (since 1953, the city of Bobrov, Voronezh region).
