Horacio Guldberg was born on November 12, 1950 Mendoza, Argentina.
Horacio Guldberg attended the National University of Cuyo where he received a Bachelor of Philosophy degree in 1973. The same year he obtained the title of Professor of Secondary, Normal and Special Education in Philosophy. He also attended the University of Cuenca and received a Doctor of Philosophy degree.
Horacio Guldberg started his teaching career in 1968 in Mendoza, Argentina. In 1973 he became a professor at the National University of Cuyo and held this post until 1976. In 1976, Guldberg became a Professor at the University of Cuenca. Since 1980 he has been serving as a Professor at the National Pedagogic University. In 1981, Guldberg took a post of Professor of Subject in the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters at the National Autonomous University of Mexico. He is also a full-time Researcher at the Research Center on Latin America and the Caribbean.
Horacio Guldberg wrote his first book Filosofía de la Liberación Latinoamericana in 1983. Later he published many books devoted to Latin America and philosophy of liberation. He also took part in the Permanent Seminar "Ethics and politics. The south and other contextscultural". In 2011, Guldberg became Director of the Collection "Philosophy from Our America to the World" in Bogotá, Colombia.
Guldberg also served as co-editor of the journal Prometeo: Revista Latinoamericana de Filosofía.
Horacio Guldberg is an Argentinean educator, philosopher, and writer who is famous for his books devoted to the philosophy of liberation. He was recognized as an Honorary Professor of the National University of San Marcos in 2011. In 2013 Guldberg was declared "Guest of Honor" by the National University of Río Cuarto and was also recognized as a Distinguished Visiting professor by the National University of Córdoba, Argentina.

2009Horacio Cerutti believes that philosophy is a tool which can and should positively transform Latin American society. He holds the view Latin America will be better off if it changes 'with the philosophy'. Cerutti has made significant contributions to the historiography of ideas in Latin America and has challenged the use of inherited European historiographical categories. He developed a Political philosophy intended for Latin American liberation.
Horacio Cerutti was President of the Philosophical Association of Mexico from 1996 to 1998.
