Career
In 1696 Ioakim became a priest of Moscow Annunciation Cathedral. In 1712 he became a monk named Joachim. The abbot of the Trinity Selijarov Monastery of Tver Diocese, the callarer of the Chudov Monastery in Moscow, the confessor of the fleet.

During his time the construction of the Cathedral of the Annunciation (1735) in Voronezh was completed. Ioakim contributed to the development of education in Voronezh: on his initiative, schools were opened for the children of the clergy in Ostrogozhsk, Voronezh and village Nelzha of Usmansky district.
