He studied at the Department of Pharmacy, School of Sciences, Zhejiang University.
Career
He is considered as a pioneer of modernizing traditional Chinese medicine. He later became a researcher at the prestigious Shanghai Institute of Materia Medica, Chinese Academy of Sciences (SIMM, Chemical Abstracts Service). He also served as a professor at the School of Pharmacy, Fudan University in Shanghai.
Jin is a senior academician of the Chinese Academy of Sciences.
He was elected into the academy in 2001.
