Education
Jiro Yamauchi graduated from Electrical Engineering Department of Tokyo University (1922). He studied electrical industry in Germany (1932-1933).
Career
Jiro Yamauchi served as researcher and engineer of Denki Kenkyiijo (Electrical Research Institute) and then became lecturer at Engineering Department of Tokyo University (1929). Appointed chief of 6th Department (1942) and then chief of Applied Electric Power Department of Electrical Research Institute. He became lecturer at 1st Engineering Department of Tokyo University and then professor of 2nd Engineering Department of the same university (1947). Served also as councilor of Tokei Suri Kenkyujo (Statistical Mathematics Research Institute) and member of Gakujutsu Shorei Shingikai (Science Encouragement Council) of Education Ministry.
