Kendall Jenner was born on November 3, 1995, in Los Angeles, California, the United States, to Bruce (now known as Caitlyn Jenner following a gender transition surgery) and Kris Jenner. Her father is a retired Olympic gold medal-winning decathlete, and both her parents are television personalities. Her middle name is in honor of her mother's friend Nicole Brown Simpson, who was murdered in 1994.

She has eight half-siblings and a younger sister, Kylie. Her half-sisters Burt and Casey Lynn Jenner are from her father’s first marriage with Christie Crownover, while actor Brody and pop singer Brandon are her two half-brothers from her father’s second marriage with actress Linda Thompson. Her maternal half-siblings include famous reality TV personalities Kim, Kourtney, Khloé, and Rob Kardashian from her mother’s first marriage with Robert Kardashian.

Jenner grew up in a wealthy suburb of Los Angeles with her younger sister Kylie and four half-siblings from her mother’s first marriage. Career

In 2007, Jenner began appearing with her family on their hit reality television series, Keeping Up with the Kardashians, and she has since made appearances on related spinoff shows, like Khloé & Lamar, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, and Kourtney and Khloé Take Miami.

After garnering fame as a reality television star, she went on to sign with the modeling and talent agency Wilhelmina Models on July 12, 2009, embarking on the world of modeling at just 14 years. In December 2009, she landed her first modeling assignment titled Rocker Babes with a Twist; a campaign for American fast-fashion retailer, Forever 21.

One of the hit songs of the One Call boy band titled Blacklight was made into a video in 2010 that featured Jenner along with other television stars like Kevin McHale and Ashley Benson. On April 19 that year, she appeared in a Teen Vogue snapshot and a plethora of other ad campaigns for notable brands primarily in Australia. She walked the ramp for fashion designer Sherri Hill in September 2011 at the Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.

The 2011 Nicole by OPI Kardashian Kolors nail polish line included two signature nail lacquer developed by her. Kendall Jenner's signature nail lacquer helped the Jenner sisters earn $100,000. Kendall and Kylie were made creative directors of the webisode series Gillette Venus Gets Ready with Kendall & Kylie Jenner on March 16, 2012. Since then, Jenner has appeared in high fashion runway shows and campaigns wearing the likes of Marc Jacobs, Chanel, Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana, among others. Always teetering on the edge of controversy with her Kardashian-reality television roots, Jenner was singled out and publicly ridiculed in April 2017 for her starring role in a Pepsi ad campaign called "Live For Now," in which she used the beverage to heal the divide between police and protesters. The ad was lambasted for trivializing the Black Lives Matter movement and was consequently taken off the air just one day after its debut. Jenner was reportedly "devastated" by the backlash, but due to her contractual agreement with Pepsi, was unable to comment publicly on the matter.

Just two months later, Jenner faced even more controversy, along with younger sister Kylie, for promoting vintage T-shirts through their clothing line Kendall + Kylie. The shirts contained the images of musicians like Tupac Shakur and The Notorious B.I.G. with the sisters' faces superimposed on them. Not only did they face public backlash, but they were also met with legal troubles, as they had violated copyright laws by not seeking permission to use the images. As a result, the sisters removed the shirts from their site and issued an apology.

In 2018, she was seen playing a cameo role in Gary Ross-directed American heist comedy film Ocean's 8. In the film, Kendall was seen alongside other celebrities like Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, Kylie Jenner, and Kim Kardashian West. In January 2020, Kendall confirmed that a cosmetics line in collaboration with her sister's brand, Kylie Cosmetics, was in the process. Kendall Jenner x Kylie Cosmetics line launched on June 26, 2020.

Kendall is a very religious person. She once stated: "I was definitely taught - even by my sisters - to believe in God. Also, to believe that He has a plan. Even though I'm more spiritual than religious, I pray every night and I 100 percent identify as Christian. It's most important to me, though, just to be good in your heart and do good in the world."

Kendall Jenner used publicity surrounding her 22nd birthday to raise money for Charity Water. The campaign ultimately said it raised almost $70,000.
