Makoto Okoshi served as research worker at Physico-Chemical Research Institute and as assistant professor at Department of Technology of Tokyo University and thereafter was appointed professor (1941). Produced great achievements in field of precision machinery industry and received Academy of Japan Prize for 1952 for his work on excision of metals. Works include "Methods of Experiments on Tools" and "Methods of Industrial Process on Machinery."
