Masaie Kusunoki was appointed Sakon-e-no-Shogen (commander of Imperial Army) and then Kurddo (Treasurer). He was put to flight by Yoshiatsu Satake’s army during the civil war between the North and South dynasties and then was killed in action at Shijonawate (Osaka Prefecture).
