Career
After graduating from University entered the Scientific Research Institute and in 1926 was conferred a doctorate for his study of Roentgen ray treatment. Later in 1928 was sent to Europe and America for further study of ultraviolet ray treatment. Returning home in 1932 was appointed professor after a study course in ultraviolet ray treatment was added to Tokyo University. Was Dean of Tokyo University's Faculty of Medicine in the period from 1952 to 1954. Was appointed member of the Ministry of Welfare’s council on radioactivity when it was founded in 1954 after the atom dusting of the Fukuryu Maru at Bikini.
