He graduated from the Voronezh Theological Seminary (1844), Moscow Theological Academy (1848).
Career
Teacher of russian civil history in Voronezh theological seminary (1848-1854). Secretary of the Committee for the description of the Voronezh diocese (since 1851). In november 1848 visited historian Pogodin with the purpose of acquaintance with his hand-written collection, there he met with Gogol Nikolai Vasilyevich.
