Yuki Munehiro was born in 1266. He was the son of Sukehiro.
Early in life became a priest under the name of Dochu. Soon after was ordered by the Kamakura Shogunate to attack Emperor Godaigo's forces at Mount Kasagi, but instead of doing so Munehiro Yuki surrendered himself to the Emperor (1331). Later under orders from Prince Morinaga he and foshisada Nitta attacked Kamakura (1333). When Emperor Godaigo returned from his exile at Oki Island, he and Akiie Kitabatake suppressed Mutsu (north Japan). Later he crushed and routed Takauji Ashikaga at Kyoto. Followed up his success by taking Reizan Castle, and then Kamakura after which he entered the temporary capital of the South Dynasty at Mount Yoshino. Later while accompanying Prince Yoshinaga by sea to Mutsu, their snip drifted ashore at Anotau in Ise (Mie Prefecture) and he died the same year due to illness.
