WALTHER, Otto was born on August 1, 1855 in Saxony. Induced by the illness (consumption) of a near relative, to whose cure he had to devote three entire years, he founded this sanatorium for the treatment of consumptives only. Owns some 40 acres of property in the midst of 30,000 acres of public pine forest.
