Pam Schiller holds a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Education degree from Stephen F. Austin University. She has a teaching certificate from the University of Houston–Clear Lake. Schiller received a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Texas Woman’s University.
From 1972 to 1976 Pam Schiller was a consultant and regional training manager at Mini Skools Limited. From 1976 to 1978 she worked as a kindergarten teacher in Houston, Texas. From 1978 to 1982 Schiller was an instructor at the University of Houston-Clear Lake, an assistant professor of education from 1982 to 1988. From 1983 to 1984 she was a member of the advisory board at Young Men’s Christian Association, at Houston International Hospital from 1983 to 1985, and at Poe Cooperative from 1987 to 1989. From 1988 to 1989 Pam served as a supervisor for prekindergarten and kindergarten classes at public schools in Pasadena, Texas.
From 1989 to 1992 she was an early childhood product manager in the marketing department at DLM Teaching Resources in Allen, Texas. From 1992 to 1995 Schiller was a vice president for marketing at McGraw-Hill Learning Materials in Worthington, Ohio, a vice president for early childhood and professional development from 1995 to 1998, and has been a senior national early childhood consultant since 1999. From 1982 to 1984 Pam was a member of the advisory board at San Jacinto College. From 1984 to 1986 and 1988 to 1988 she was a member of the advisory board at the College of the Mainland.
She is a consultant to schools, child care centers, and other institutions and companies, including Texas Instruments, Brazoria County Protective Services, and Houston Children’s Museum. She is also a public speaker at local, state, national, and international gatherings; guest on television and radio programs.
Schiller has written numerous articles for early childhood journals, including Child Care Information Exchange and Texas Child Care Quarterly. Pam is the author of five early childhood curriculums, eleven children's books, and more than thirty teacher and parent resource books.
