Graduated from Keio University (1925). Accorded a doctorate (1929). Appointed instructor of Neurology Section of Medical Department at Keio University (1937) and director of the Sa- kuramachi Hospital(1943). Appointed professor of Keio University (1953). During the above period, stayed for two years in France as student invited by the French Government and studied neurology and psychopathy. Awarded the French Medal Legion d’Honour by the French Government (1954). Chairman of the Japanese-French Medical Association and director of Sakuramachi Hospital. Author of “Diagnosis and Remedy of Neurology” and “Mental Physiology.” Translated Introduction to Experimental Medical Science” by Claude Bernard.
