Valery Konstantinovich Melnichenko graduated from the ceramics department of Kiev School of Applied Art.
Valery Konstantinovich is the participant of regional, zonal, All-Russian, all-Union exhibitions since 1960. He is the lecturer of the Voronezh Art School. He is the author of the monument to the heroic soldiers of the Great Patriotic War in Voronezh region: Novaya Usman village, Podkletnoe village (1965, metal, concrete), Borisoglebsk (1980, copper, concrete), monumental-decorative compositions "Cosmonauts" (1975, copper, design Bureau "Himavtomatika") in Voronezh, "Ikar" (1975-1978, aluminum) in Novovoronezh. He made the sculptural portraits of V.V. Belopolsky (1964, gypsum), L.L. Semago (1967, tree), biologist M.S. Sukhoroslova (1970, tree), V.P. Krivoruchko (1980, steel, copper) and others.
