In 1940, Vincent Pavlovich graduated from the history department of Moscow State University. Then he got accepted into the Krasnodar flight school as a cadet. A few years later he began teaching tactics there. In 1975 got Ph.D. in History.
During the years 1948-1951 Vincent Pavlovich was a senior lecturer at the Department of History of the USSR at Tomsk State University, in 1951-1952 he was a teacher at the Department of History of the USSR at the Moscow State Historical and Archival Institute.
Since 1952, Vincent Pavlovich was appointed associate professor, professor of the department of history of the USSR, Voronezh State University. In 1977-1987, he worked as the head of the department of historiography and source studies, afterwards, in 1987-1996, as the professor of the department of Russian History, Voronezh State University.
Vincent Pavlovich is the author of multiple textbooks on history, among which are: "The Persian campaign of Peter I: 1722-1723" (Moscow, 1951), "Voronezh - Azov - Poltava" (Voronezh, 1959), "M.V. Lomonosov - the ancestor of the Russian enlightenment" (Voronezh, 1961), "M.V. Lomonosov on the socio-economic development of Russia" (Voronezh, 1969), "M.V. Lomonosov in the coverage of P.P. Pekarsky" (Voronezh, 1993), etc.
