Vladimir Petrovich Vishnevetsky was a Russian composer, educator and public figure. He was an author of wind music, symphonic compositions and others.
Background
Vladimir Petrovich Vishnevetsky was born on November 27, 1892 in Rozhdestvenskoe village, Borisoglebsk District, Tambov Governorate, Russian Empire (now Rozhdestvenskoe village, Borisoglebsk District, Tambov, Russian Federation) in the family of rural teachers.
Education
He graduated from Borisoglebskaya Aleksandrovskaya gymnasium (1912, participated in the activity of the local musical club) and Piano Department of music school (1916, Kharkov).
Career
In 1916-1922 lived in the town of Borisoglebsk, was an assistant attorney; organizer, director, piano and music theory teacher of the music school in 1919. Vladimir Petrovich was a head of the music sector of Borisoglebsk District’s Department of National Education from 1918 to 1921.
Since 1923 lived in Voronezh, studied with К.К. Shvab (composition class) and D.V. Ahsharumov, with whom headed Orgburo of scientific and artistic society "Voronezhskaya filarmoniya" from 1927 to 1931. He led the Composers Association of Central Black Earth Oblast (till 1932). Vladimir Petrovich was composing with Mikhail Ippolitov-Ivanov. During the Great Patriotic War he was in the People's Militia.
In 1960th he was a lecturer and musicologist.
